Wedding Officiant

I'm getting married September 17th at Copper Creek.  I would like a Christian ceremony but do not belong to a church and don't have a minister that I would like to use.  I'm also on a budget.

I've come across two officiants that I'm thinking about using and wonder if anyone has any experience with either.

One is Rev. Nicole Adams with The Marriage Pros - $200 and $50 for the rehearsal.

The other is Iowa Vows with Rev. Bobbi Silvernail (apparently she used to be a news anchorwoman and recently started doing weddings).  - $200 for the ceremony (site doesn't mention rehearsal).

I'm extremely hesitant to put down a deposit for an officiant without seeing any reviews.  Neither has many reviews online (except for the ones their own sites provide).  I need someone who is dependable and who will also do a good job.  Has anyone had experience or know of someone that has used either of these?

Any other officiants in this price range that you know of?

I am using a family friend, so I'm not 100% sure where else to look. But if you see some off the internet why not meet them in person to see what they are like and then if you don't like them keep looking?

I would think that either officiant should be more than willing to meet with you before putting down any deposit.  Afterall, you & your fiance should feel comfortable with the person who is officiating.  Have you called or emailed either of them yet?

I used Nicole Adams for our wedding. She was good, answered all our questions and  did exactly what we wanted (short and non-religious) . The only hiccup that we had was that there was some slight confusion the day before as she sent us the wrong ceremony layout to confirm. Turns out she had three guys named Jason getting married that weekend and mixed us up with another couple. We got it sorted out with no problems and everything went fine the day of.
