FH's GM sister who FH has not seen in YEARS (at GM wedding 6 years ago) and I had never met until October 2011 when she invited herself to our wedding. She said " I REALLY WANT TO GO PLEASE PLEASE INVITE ME" we ignored her comments but she texted my FH her ADDRESS later that same day. No word or communication from her after that. Fast forward to this week April 2012. FH gets a text from the same GM sister "Making my plans for May, did the invitations go out yet I wanted to pencil in the date". How rude and insistent can people be. Obviously invites went out ( her brother got one) , it just amazes me the nerve of some people just to get a free meal and drinks. Im letting FH handle that response but I made sure he knew NO WAY is she getting an invite.

    I think it is rude.  On the other hand, since I still am stalking the mailbox for 32 of 65 invites with 6 days to go until the deadline...at least she would have let you know she's coming if she HAD gotten an invite.  :-)

    Update Ladies..... the GM actually called FH to tell him about the whole sister invite desperate-ness, so FH felt that the GM calling meant he wanted the sister invited.GM did not out right say invite the sister but FH felt that him just mentioning it meant  he wanted her to get an invite. FSIL also agreed that inviting her would avoid any future uncomfy moments with this desperate crazy loon or the GM(who FH is really close to). According to FSIL, this gal is a sad person who has no pals. I CAVED, So URGH we sent her a stupid invite (no plus one!) , I just had to pick my battles on this one :( . The invite has a RSVP date in about 10 days so she will definitely know she was not on our invitee list.  Oh well, like PP said she will be at least sent the stupid RSVP back by the date since she is so desperate ti attend.
