Weight watchers and insanity

Hey ladies I never post on here, because I have been so lazy lately but on the 20th was our 4 month mark until our wedding! So naturally I am freaking out about my weight I actually lost about 15 lbs since October, but I need to lost much more and by my wedding I am hoping to at least loose another 15! So I started weight watchers, anyone else on that boat...
I am also doing the insanity videos I have been doing those on and off for a year they are hard but always work when I stick to it.
 Any advice????/

Re: Weight watchers and insanity

  • I just started counting calories and doing Rev Abs, which is part of the whole Beachbody empire.  It seems to work very well when I stick to it as well, so I do think that part of it is being kept accountable.  My best advice is to limit carbs, eat very clean- proteins and veggies. and drink lots of water.  I think weight watdchers is great because you have to weigh in too!
  • Congratulations on the loss so far. Remember to set attainable goals - you may not want to be losing right up until your wedding (dress fittings, etc.) Losing 15 pounds in 4 months is definitely do-able, I just want you to consider your dress! :)

If you like Insanity, it's a good work out! Otherwise, just find something you like that can fit in your schedule - and switch it up! Take a walk one day, ride a bike the next, do a work out DVD, play tennis, go swimming, etc. If you're one to get bored easily, that may help you keep things fresh.

For great weight watchers/calorie counter recipes I (and many others on this site) have found www.skinnytaste.com to be invaluable.

  • Happy four months out, fellow October bride! I'm getting married October 6th, so I'm on a similar timeline. I started doing weight watchers back in February and have been doing it for rougly 18 weeks now. Since I started, I've lost 17 pounds. My goal is to lose around 11 more pounds. If that happens by my wedding day, great. If not, that's ok too. In my opinion, 15 pounds on weigh watchers in 16 weeks is completely doable! Just make sure you're drinking LOTS of water. I always notice my weight loss seems to be better on the weeks where I stick to my water intake.
