Hi everyone! I have posted on here some because i knew i was getting married next june after my fiance grauates from the coast guard academy BUT now we are officially engaged and i can start sharing the details!

    Yes we have set the date for June 1st! Well we have been together for about 5 years now and both grew up living on the water so we are ALWAYS out fishing or crabbing or on the boat. We are really casual and laid back and so one evening we were out on the boat crabbing and were just looking at the sunset out on the water and he asked me to marry him! I was not expecting it then because we always go out on the boat and crabbing but it was totally perfect because not only was it really romantic out there on the water but if he would have done it any other way i most likely would have suspected something because we dont usually do anything out of the ordinary!

    Congrats and Welcome! June is a great month to get married! :)

    My cousin is married to a Coastie. :) They started out in New Jersey, lived in Hawaii and Florida and now are in Virginia. She seems to be loving the coastie lifestyle. You can't complain living near water!
