  I have gotten spray tanned at Planet Beach. They are a chain, so there is likely one in your area. They typically offer packages for 2-3 spray tans. I would recommend doing a package and getting spray tanned 3-4 weeks before your wedding. That way, you can see how it works out with your complexion, and if you really like it! also, wear white/ivory about 8 hours after the spray tan... do some jogging or something else that makes you sweat. then you will be able to see if it bleeds on to your clothing. I havent had a problem with the tan bleeding, but it is worth it to give it a test run!!

  I disliked planet beach - I thought their customer service was really lacking, the girl working the desk at the one I went to was a real b*tch.

  
  

  As much as I love a nice tan though, my experience with the spray ones has been poor - just like drtara says, that orange will bleed all over your clothes, and the look rarely works - you almost always look like an oompa loompa!

  
  

  I would suggest a light booth - yeah, you can get skin cancer if you are a tanorexic, but if you go a couple of times right before the wedding, I think it would be pretty safe.

  My good friend got spray tanned before her wedding and the coloring was gorgeous. She by no means looked orange at all and despite all of the dancing she was doing, it did not bleed on her dress. She had three sessions across a two week span before the wedding and it looked great. Maybe you could check out yelp or some other review site for recommendations in that area.

  I do not look good in spray tan.  I really wish I did.  I have tried all types of airbrush tanning.  I have to use the light booths.  I will only do it this year for the wedding because of skin cancer risks so It really depends on your complexion.  I would go to check out a few places and see how it works with you.

  I think you should definitly try a few places before you commit to getting one for the wedding.  I also think that airbrush tanning (where someone has an airbrush and littlerally airbrushes you in a room versus booth (standing in a booth and turning on cue) is a better option.  they can usually customize the color and detrmin the colume to which you want to be darker.  It is more expensive but well worth the money.

  please don't use a tanning bed. i don't care if you use it once, there is a risk. plus.. who wants to look like a leather bag? spray tans now have vitamins in them that are SO good for your skin. but as the other have said.. you don't really know how it will look on you until you get one. i get them a lot, and love them. they don't always come out perfect, but if you use the barrier cream correctly and towel off well you'll be fine. also.. clarins has a sunless tanner that is AMAZING. it actually has pigment in it so you can see where there are streaks and rub it in before it sets. it's a little pricey, but totally worth it. then id use the pray-on stocking stuff that you can get at walgreens just to even out the tone. i used it for a wedding and my legs looked amazing and i am a paaaaasty girl.
