Linens!

Hi everyone!
I am think of doing satin table linens, chair covers and sashes. The estimates that I got for about 18 tables and 175 chairs =$3000. I was thinking of just purchasing them in Cali since I have family there, but I don't have anyone in my family that could help get them ready on the day of. Any ideas??

Do you have a friend you can ask? Or what about where you are having your reception at? Can they set it up?

$3000 sounds a little high to me. You can generally get chair covers around $5/chair, and $2000 for 18 table cloths sounds way too high. I had a team of about 8 people helping me set up 230 chair covers and sashes. It took them a few hours, and with all the work they had to put in and the little thank you gifts I bought them, it would have been easier for me just to pay to have it set-up by the vendor (it was $1/chair for set-up). I went through Chair Covers Express.

That does sound a little high, unless you are getting the really nice satin (i think it depends on the type of satin as well?) I'd ask if someone (coordinator or caterer) to help set it up. They will charge you but at least it's something less to take care of.

I ordered my linens online from tableclothfactory.com. They have a free shipping rate to the mainland then I just packed an extra suitcase rather than shippping to hawaii. I didnt get satin but im pretty sure they had it. Great prices! I'm have alterations by rose press the table cloths for a great price also. I have 11 120" linens that she is pressing for $50.
