ummm my wedding is 50 days away. i dont have any more time for inspirations!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
paying for every goshdarn thing i've booked. and making my table numbers.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
nope not retro/vintage really. just plain black suits with white shirts. i will be buying them polka dot ties this month so i guess that somewhat vintage. their bouts will be mini red gerberas with some greenery wrapped in polkadot ribbon.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? Decorations/Centerpieces for the reception. I've been brainstorming non-stop about what to do.
What wedding-related project are you tackling this June? DIY stuff as usual: guestbook and the card holder hopefully!
Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Haven't really decided but I love the way a traditional black suit looks with a vest/tie combo in our colors.
Is it retro/vintage? Probably won't be...but he'll look pretty slick!

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?
My wedding band is an estate piece, so I think that counts! I'm pretty excited about it, I was really just searching for a new band, but I love the older style setting.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
I've been working on my garter this week -- it's purple silk with ivory lace from my Mom's wedding gown. I'm going to attach an ivory bow and this robot charm (waiting for it to come in the mail):

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
My fiance picked out the tuxes, so I didn't see them yet. It's a basic Calvin Klein tuxedo, not retro or vintage, but classic. I wanted bowties, but he insisted on straight ties instead. His is ivory with a contast stripe, the groomsmen's are the same style in purple, and our Dads' are the same in black.

My fiance will be sporting steampunk cufflinks, and my Dad's are vintage T-Bird logos.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage? Black suits with white shirts and black skinny ties. They have a retro feel but my wedding seems to be a hodgepodge of looks now anyway. As long as it looks classy I don't care anymore!

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?
I've been searching out cute outfits for either the rehearsal dinner or my going away outfit. I may just wear the same outfit twice!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
This month I'm going to be finalising my wedding invitations with the designer. I wasn't crazy about her last ones, so I gave her some different ideas to work with, and I'm crossing my fingers that she comes up with something we love! I'm also tackling a few other DIY projects to get them off the list. I'll be making the ring bearer bowtie, his pillow, and probably tackling some of the photo projects I need to finish.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
Matt originally wanted himself and the groomsmen to wear three piece suits, and I thought they'd look really dapper. Unfortunately, it's much more expensive to purchase suits than it is to rent tuxes, so we had to settle for the next best thing--charcoal grey tuxes. They'll have matching vests to recreate the look of a three-piece suit, but will have different coloured ties. The groomsmen will have violet ties, and the groom, charcoal grey.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
A whole LOT! Buying the dress this afternoon, making venue selections, finish making the favors, STDs

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
We will be doing tailcoats or cutaway coats with top hats. I'm hoping that they will look as Victorian as possible. I may get FI a pocket watch or at least a fob to wear as a surprise. I think we my mom may have one stashed away somewhere...

Lace - lace- lace - custom embroidered handkerchiefs for the bridal party as part of their thank yous. Doilies too!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
BM dresses as my mom dislikes them – I need to look all over again.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
My man will be wearing a Zoot Tux from After Six complete with chains and pocket watch. I will be in the Grace Lynette by Maggie Sottero.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? Invitations! My friend is a graphic designer and is making some awesome invitations for us. I'll post a pic when I get the sample in the mail.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June? Addressing save the dates and testing out tissue paper flowers.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage? Not sure. I know he wants to wear a tux but past that we haven't talked about it.

First of all, Hi girls! This is my first post in this board. Here are my answers:

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?

I'm having a "50's Tropical Glamour" inspired wedding, so I have A LOT of vintage ideas going on. Right now we are working on the invites. I have found the greatest material for the envelopes. It totally looks like my grandmother's invites! Will post a pic soon.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?

Lots! The cake, the invites, the band and the menu.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?

It is kind of retro for were I live (Dominican Republic). Here is called "Tropical Etiquette", and it was used heavily from the 30´s to the 60's, and now its making a comeback for beach weddings and vintage ones, like mine. It's basically a white or ivory one button jacket, with kind of rounded lapels, black pants and bowtie. FC will look great in it!

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?
My grandmother's antique oil lamp collection. I'm going to use them as center-pieces for some of the reception tables. When it gets darker outside they're going to give the yard a beautiful, understated glow.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
Aside from two of my cousins getting married two weekends in a row, I'm getting my invitations that my graphic designer hubby-to-be designed printed.

They're getting sent out as well. Along with out super-cute retro-inspired engagement pics.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Is it retro/vintage?
They're wearing pretty simple grey vests with a yellow paisley-covered tie. It kinda reminds me of a turn-of-the-century bartender or boat captain.

Not particularly vintage, but it's in the spirit.

does anyone have time to be inspired while wedding planning? yowza! I guess some new red lipstick I bought has inspired me to get going on my birdcage veil. I bought some navy tulle and crystal & purl trim to work into my comb.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
Invites. MY brother-in-law designed them last time. (our wedding was postponed unexpectedly because my fiance needed a bone graft ?!?) He did some swallows holding a banner with our names over a heart and then small dots and stars on vellum over a while card..... I'm not sure if i want to do the same thing over again? or wow everyone with a new and creative invite.

My groom tried on a really large pinstriped suit the other day that really had a retro 20's 30's gangster throwback feel. swoon! Can't wait to see what he picks!

Just realized I forgot to do this. I always remember a day or two before the new month and then forget once it happens.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?

I suppose engagement pictures and save-the-dates. We wanted them to go hand in hand with a black and white photo postcard. I'm getting nervous now because we haven't taken them yet. I was thinking black skirt/shirt, heels, and victory rolls for the vintage look. I'm also debating just taking them in the fall so that I can wear what I really like - cool weather clothes!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?

Save-the-dates and e-pics NEED to be done this month unless we do something else for the STDs. I'm thinking maybe a photo postcard of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers? That is where we have been drawing a lot of inspiration from lately.

We won free tux rentals but Matt hasn't gone for his fitting yet. I want a pinstripe but we'll see what they have.

I guess my hair. I had a hair trial and the lady did an updo which I love, but I think I'm leaning more towards having my hair down so I'm looking for more vintage style hair dos.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this June?
My fabric flowers. I need to finish sewing them and then I can begin assembling the bouquets.

Tell us about/let us see your groom/groomsmen outfit. Fi wants to wear a grey suit/tux like Josh Duhamel in When in Rome.
Is it retro/vintage? I don't know if that's vintage, I'll need to look it up.
