  Oh I know what you're feeling! FI tells me today that we have to go FILs tomorrow "before 8" even though he knows I'm babysitting all day tomorrow to finalize things about 1 the RD, 2 the motherson dance 3 does she want a wristlet or a pin on from the florist. All 3 of those items were from his todo list. sigh and he's annoyed with me because he's "been wanting to do this for a few weeks now", but it's always too late by the time we finish our Sat. errands.

  How irritating!!! FI doesn't understand just how much is left to do - he just keeps slacking off doing other things and wonders why I'm so stressed out. Clearly he hasn't been involved enough in the process. LOL

  THIS for me too! Mom asked him last night if he had gotten ahold of any of his people he invited, she gave him a list for his fam and friends she hadn't gotten an RSVP from on Tues and he has called NOBODY!! Even the preacher! grrr!

  Why not plug all of the guests who RSVP'd yes into an excel spreadsheet and then let the computer calculate the final count for you? Then you don't have to worry about whose list says what.

  I have all my RSVP lists in a Google Doc, and I gave access to my FH, my mom and my FMIL.  You could give permission for everyone to edit it (although I didn't, because I thought it would be chaos).  It worked pretty well for us.

  PPs suggestions of Google Docs and Excel are great.  weddingwire.com also has lots of awesome tools for this kind of thing.  If you put your guest list into there, it will total the guest list as well as meal choices.  They also have a seating chart feature where you can drop and drag names to the tables.  I made our seating chart in less than an hour.  Best of luck getting everything sorted out!

  Thanks for the support everyone. As frustrating as it was, it all worked out. The problem with tallying the head counts was syncing my RSVP list with my mom's (there were several changes we had to remember to make), and figure out how many over 21, under 21 and under 12. My parents were doing it the old-fashioned way with paper and pencil (Excel was used for confirmation of the numbers....yah).
  
  So it all worked out and this time next week we will be married and dancing the night away
