Aveda Columbus

Has anyone used aveda for their hair and makeup??? They are 45 dollars for updos and 25 dollars for make up. That seems like a steal but I am nervous for it.

i've had other things done there and they really do a good job. if they don't do a good job, their supervisors will come and fix it. the only issue is that they are slow. i don't know if i would trust it for my wedding day but i'm a stickler for time. definitely for other occasions though.

I've used them before.  I actually got a mani/pedi before my trip to Vegas last year...I HATED it, and no one came to fix it. And, we got engaged in Vegas, and my nails looked like sh!t.  I've gotten my hair cut there, but I have long hair, and, at that time, not too much as far as style, so kinda hard to screw up.

If you are thinking about doing it, make sure you do a trial, and make sure you'd have that person the day of. Even if you are trying to do things for a steal, remember the beauty aspect will be remembered. My hair stylist is a professional, and if you go to her, it's under $50 I believe. She'll be a heck of a lot faster than aveda, and you can be assured of quality.  She's also the person I go to to get my hair cut and stuff, it's someone you can actually build a relationship with, unlike Aveda (it's whoever's a student at that time). PM me if your interested.

I do not recommend the Aveda Student Salon on High Street. I went there to try it out before booking my wedding updo and I am glad I checked it out. First, they booked me with the wrong person I requested.  I asked for a 2 inch trim and it took the girl  2 hours to cut it and she didn't even get a chance to blow dry nor style it.
