XP: Marriage License

How long did it take you to get the certified copy of your marriage license?  I was told it would be 2 weeks, and we're about to hit 6.  Should I be concerned?  I know California takes forever to do things, but I'm starting to get worried.

    It took my cousin six weeks to get hers.

    On a side note, I sent away for my dad's birth certificate and it took 4 months!  Talk about taking forever!

    I can't remember. I wasn't looking for it in the mail, to be honest, and one day, there it was! Less than 6 weeks, though. I can't remember if it was 2, 3, 4 though.

    I was waiting for mine and then we realized that nobody had sent payment. So we had to go in person. It was a little bit of a pain (an hour in line in Van Nuys), but if you have to do it, not terrible. You can also call to ask about the status.

    After waiting over 6 weeks for it to arrive, I called and asked and they told me I was supposed to pick it up. Just heads up, you might want to do the same.
