Didn't use them, but went to a tasting and I thought the cake was dry and you couldn't taste the difference in the filling flavors because the layer of filling was thin.

We are going with them.  I will agree the filling layers are thin and a lot of the fillings taste the same.  We are going with raspberry, strawberry, and pineapple fillings, one on each tier, with the almond flavor cake.  We are doing buttercream icing because I think fondant is nasty. Haha.  They are nice and called us to ask questions and verify exactly what we wanted.  I found them easy to work with, but I haven't had experience with the delivery or anything yet.

The venue we selected offered a reception package that included a wedding cake and groom's cake from Haydel's. Cake wasn't something that was tremendously important to us and we didn't have the budget to seek alternatives, so we were happy to go with them.

When I originally went for my tasting, I wasn't overly impressed with the samples or with the service.  The first girl who assisted me was not too helpful. However, I later emailed and met with Tonya, one of the other women who takes the wedding cake orders. From there on out, I felt like I was in good hands. She was super nice and took down very detailed information when taking my order to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I thought both cakes came out beautifully.  We didn't get to eat too much of them on the wedding night, but everyone commented that both were good.

Our venue coordinated with them for deliveries, so I don't have alot of feedback regarding that.

Our wedding cake was a simple, three tier, buttercream icing from Haydel's and we loved it.  Nothing fancy, but delicious :)

I used Haydel's. I didn't have extremely high expectations, but they blew me away. I still have guests telling me that it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I hate fondant, but I love the smooth look. They gave me the smoothest buttercream I've ever seen.

My cake was 3 tiers. The bottom and top tier were triple layer. My grooms cake was basically a huge sheet cake. I provided the actual "decorations". It was delicious though.

    FLAVORS:
top and bottom tier (triple layer):
white (or whatever it's called) cake; one layer with lemon filling, the other with chocolate
    middle tier:
devil's food cake with praline filling (YUM)

    GROOM'S CAKE:
    White cake with raspberry filling
