Can't.. Stop... Wedding Planning... :-)

I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago and I can't seem to stop looking at wedding stuff!

I need help on some things:

1. Can you recommend a good alterations place in the Seattle area?

2. Can you recommend a good hair and makeup place? I recently got my makeup done professionally for family pics and it was so heavy and cakey - I didn't look for feel like myself. Everyone in my family agreed I look better when I do my makeup myself... my fiance, after prodding, even said I kind of reminded him of a corpse when he first saw me with all that makeup! ha!

    Congrats & welcome! 

    1) Alterations, in Ballard is Deb Hedeen and in Lynnwood is Darcy Martin.  Both are favorites on here.  I know a few other knotties have found some other ones, so hopefully someone will reply with other suggestions. :)

    2) Makeup, depends on what all you plan to do.  I needed someone to come to me and my BMs wanted theirs done too, so I went with Taryn Hart.  She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and I loved it!  My airbrush makeup stayed all day (even through a cake smashing) and my BMs all looked great as well!     I found the sweetest seamstress in Edmonds - Sue Williams.  My dress has not needed a lot of work but she's been super sweet and totally reasonable - stitch.knit@gmail.com or 425 412 3682.

    I loved the make up artist that my bouidoir photographer uses - if you google fresh face stace you will find her, she is based out of Olympia.
