Hi ladies! Our big day is finally almost here! We will be getting married in two days, and I am so excited
For our ceremony, we decided to have what we are calling our "Words of Affirmation" before we exchange the traditional vows. I have included mine below... I am pretty happy with the content, but I am worried about the length... it is about 1 min and 30 seconds... is that too long? Let me know what you think. We wanted to mix the seriousness of the ceremony with a little bit of levity to lighten the mood and bring our personalities to the service... please let me know what you think! Thank you...
I vow, now and forever, to love you passionately in all of your forms. I promise to love you for who you are, but more than that, I promise to love you for who God has in mind for you to become and to spend my life encouraging you to get there. I promise, no matter what challenges may drive us apart, to always set my sights on finding my way back to you, here. I promise never to forget, that our love is once-in-a-lifetime. It extends beyond the constraints of this world, and into the paradise of the next. I vow to be your shelter in times of struggle, and promise that you will never face your worries alone. Above all else, I will remain your best friend, weaving your dreams into my own and cherishing your hopes as my own. I will always believe in you, and the promise of our love together.
On a lighter note, I promise to always remind you of your keys, phone, and wallet before leaving any location. I promise to delight in the simple moments, like quad rides on the farm, and falling asleep in your arms. I promise to always chase you, and never run away (at least not further than the next room). I promise never to let YOU go to bed angry, and to always wear my seatbelt, even when you aren’t there to remind me. I will massage your hand, and back, and feet, every time you ask, which is probably going to be every day. I promise to always try to remind you why you fell in love with me, and always to try to remind you that I’m crazy about you. I will never give up, never take you for granted, and I will always be inspired by our love. I vow to spend the rest of my life knowing that ours is the greatest love story ever told.
