Best Western Monroe Inn/Suites-Williamstown...Has anyone used this hotel???

Looking for feedback on the Best Western on the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown before I book a block of room for my wedding. Any feedback or other suggestions are very much appreciated.

I haven't stayed personally but my mom's friend has a few times when she comes into town to visit. From what I hear its a nice hotel through out and she hasn't had any complaints it is also farely new compared to other's in the area. There is also Aloft and Marriott in Mt.Laurel not to far off 295. The Marriot is very nice and also has a Coco Keys which an indoor water resort attached.Hope this helps

  • I called them to ask about pricing and get more information about room booking and the guy I talked to was absolutely rude.  I was also told that if I didn't book a certain amount of rooms my guests wouldn't get the discount.  This means that my guests could book a room at the reserved rate and then be charged more later on.

I ended up contacting the new Hampton Inn on the blackhorse pike in Turnersville.  Kim, the manager was so helpful and willing to accomodate us.  I would look into the Hampton before you definitely book Best Western.

Thanks so much to both of you for your feedback! I stopped by the Best Western a few months ago in the early planning stages, and the front desk guy was super nice, showing me different rooms and telling me that our guests could hang out in the lobby after hours when the wedding was over. When I called again recently, that person was apparently let go (maybe b/c he was breaking the rules) and while the hotel manager seemed very nice, we cannot utilize any common/meeting areas to hang out and party due to liquor licenses, etc. I was worried about the Hampton Inn because I saw some bad feedback on them as well on TripAdvisor, but it is so hard to rely on that site b/c I saw something on the news last year that said different hotel workers purposely put negative feedback on each others sites, etc. I may have to go stop by the Hampton Inn and check it out. Thanks again!
  • This is where we used in October 2011 for our wedding and block... We booked most of the rooms, and they were great with letting us use the lounge as an after party... they had a contintetal breakfast too... however, they did charge some peoples cards before they got there and then when they checked in, try to charge them again...\

Also, as a bride and booking that many rooms, there are no perks for you...

It was hard to get someone on the phnone that could answer yoru questions...we spoke to the manager the first time and after that, there is one girl that works there, that is amazing!  I so wish i could remember her name!  If, i can think of it, i will let you know!

    The rooms are nice though...
  • We did a room block there for our upcoming wedding. We visited twice and spoke with the owner on one occasion (when doing the block). They were very accomodating and professional each time. They said we could follow up and check who had booked / hadn't at any time. If we book a certain number of rooms we get to stay in bridal suite for free.

On the contrary, we did not have a good experience at the Hampton Inn. The people acted rude and were less welcoming. When asked to take a tour and see a room they said they were at capactiy (2 cars in the parking lot and 2 people checked in as we were leaving - so obviously they had rooms open). They also said we could simply walk around, whereas at Best Western each time we visited we were given an escorted tour.

Hampton Inn had a bigger breakfast area and was "newer", but overall we went with Best Western because, based on our visits, the employees were nicer.
