  Nothings ever really necessary, I guess. I'm doing them because I have a large bridal party and I'm a glutton for punishment!

  It's not necessary and we're not doing them.  Here's why:

  1.We have an officiant who will clearly explain each tradition we're doing, so we didn't need the program.  

  2. I never look at the WP list in the program either

  3. It's more money!

  We are doing one, but not in the traditional way. We have a small bridal party and a short ceremony, so I didn't want to waste money on programs people will just throw away. We will have a chalkboard sign at the back of the ceremony site.

  If I have a question...I post to the Boards that already had their weddings.  I have posted 'Program" questions on the Aug, Sept or Oct Boards.  They are very helpful!  That way you get a handful of opinions and then make your decision based on that.
  
  Me personally, will be having programs.  I like programs...it introduces the Bridal Party and the order of events.  Maybe if it's a small ceremony/wedding...programs may not be neccessary.

  Not necessary but I am doing them because I am getting them free. I am just going to include the names of the WP and the parents and our Pastor on them.

  We are doing programs, but haven't looked much at design yet.  I thought about doing them as hand-held fans, but my mom hated that idea because according to her, some people like to keep the programs and put them in photo albums and scrap books (she's almost 80, so a little old school). 
  I like having something to follow along with at the ceremony when I attend weddings, and it shouldn't cost too much to get them done.

  I was thinking about doing them depending on how much they will be. I am not looking to spend a lot of money on something that will be left on the table at then end of the night. I do like them because it shows everyone what's going to be happenning during the night. So I am still stuck in the middle not knowing what to do.
