I don't know where the time went! But we just had our 4 month anniversary and it just clicked that I never reviewed any of my vendors on here... I def. want to pay it forward as I used many recommendations from these community boards. Here is how I pulled it off, budget style.. Our wedding was absolutely amazing btw and I don't know how it happened, but I completely lucked out w/ my vendors... here it goes:
Reception Coordinator: Blue Dahlia Events, Michelle Kinne - A++++
Michelle was a steal for everything she did for me. She was the best thing that happened to our wedding. Meeting her for the first time, she immediately gained all my trust and respect. AMAZING. Very organized, calming, had awesome ideas but wasn't pushy. THe entire week of my wedding I did not have a worry.. she took care of it all. She's just a great person. WONDERFUL!
Photographer: Click By Jolene, Jolene Barton - A+
Jolene was wonderful. She did our engagement pictures too. Worked with us and I can be really picky

She was just great. Prices were a steal and her prints turned out awesome. She worked her butt off for us and did a GREAT job!
Videographer: Roark Productions, Dan Roark and wife - A+
We added a vidoegrapher last minute because we had some extra money.. they did awesome! His ideas were so creative and he got everything I wanted on video. They make a video montage of bits and pieces of the whole night and put it to your first dance song. I got so many compliments on it. It still makes me cry. He was so easy to work with and flexible. Awesome!
Florist: Eden Floral and Costco - A+
I hired Eden Floral to do our wedding flowers. They were so beautiful and they stayed in my very little budget. They delivered the flowers where I needed and when I needed them. Perfect. We ordered reception flowers from Costco. They came exactly when I chose and were beautiful. We used all of them! Pam at the Costco in Tri Country was so great!
Ceremony: Knox Church, Hyde Park - A++++
We had to change churches 8 days before our wedding. Luckily Knox was available and was a blessing. John was wonderful. He worked with us at such last minute, helping me plan on the weekend before the wedding. The church came with a ceremony coordinator and she did great. The only thing to watch out for is their restrictions on videography and photography. Other than that... beautiful church and everyone complimented how awesome it was there. We were actually glad the switch happened believe it or not.
Reception: Contemporary Arts Center, Joe Penno A
Joe was great. He gave me a discount on renting the space becase he wanted to start having more weddings there. He let me come the night before to drop supplies off, he let my aunt put our centerpiece arrangements together there. He worked with me and threw in extras and really let me have what I wanted to make my reception awesome. Everyone loved the bar on the elevator. He works better by email than by phone, but he is always at the CAC.. the reception as fabulous.
Caterer: Funkys, A+
Funkys did great. They were very responsive to all my questions. Jerin and Sharon and Josh just did awesome. The food was really good. Big portions. They worked with me on my small budget. Great.
DJ: Cincy Wedding DJs, Chris Hatke - A+
Chris was great. His website made everything easy. His price was very competitive. He respected my music requests. He was on time, presentable, everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and he just did a great job!
Lighting: Prestige, JJ - A+
JJ was great. They worked with me on my budget. The lighting was great, they set up early. Everything was great.
Tuxes: Geno's Tux Plus, Brian - A+
Brian was awesome. I had a very bad experience at a different tux place and walked out. Then I saw Brian and he listened and showed me what I wanted to see. His prices were unbeatable. The groom got his tux free. Everything came in perfect. If anyone's didn't fit, he could fix it in a couple hours. Great!!
Dress: Carrie Karibou, Reading - Annie - A++++
Just awesome. Great experience. No pressure. Prices were great and the quality of their designers was just awesome. My dress came in early and they held it for me. Awesome!
Alterations: Stitches by Pualine - A+
She works out of her house in Loveland.. she was recommended by a friend. She did a great job making my dress fit.. it was too big at the last minute. She even made me a new sash for free because the I had was crap. Great person, she did awesome. My wedding gown alterations were less than $100!!
Ceremony Music: Just Add Wings, Michelle - A
I hired her at a bridal show to play the harp. Her price was so competitive, however did not include a rehearsal which I didn't know. But she knows weddings and I filled out a detailed timeline and she did a great job. I had to change locations at the last minute and she was very flexible. Her website was great and she played the harp beautifully. She will even learn any song you want if you give her at least a week. Love it!
Transportation: YC Limo, A+
Great price, clean limo, the driver was great. Very reliable, answered all my questions. Came on time, even helped transport some crafts to the church for me. The driver also helped coordinate our "first look" in the park. The driver and company were just great.
Cake: Bob Passero (I forget company name, he is a friend) A+
Our cake was wonderful. He did chocolate w/ cheese cake filling and champagne cake with raspberry filling. Three tiers. White chocolate butter cream frosting. Delish! Email me for his contact info. He just started his own business and his cake is wonderful and the prices are competitive!
Rehearsal Dinner Caterer: Vncenzos A++
I didn't have to plan this part. But I just had to say they were awesome. They catered our meal and the food was awesome, there was plenty to go around. The bread is so good. They sent someone to be in charge of the buffet and she was awesome. So nice. The prices were very competitive. They did great!!
