Favorite bad movies?

Ever since the 4th E! has been replaying the movie "Independence Day" and it brings back the most hilarious memories of thinking this was the best movie EVER back in the day.  I must have been 12-ish when it came out?  I remember watching it in the theater and everyone screaming after the alien opened up in the lab.  So funny to watch it now and remember that.

I also had a really geeky crush on Jeff Goldblum in this movie and thought it was so hot how he helped Will Smith save the world.

And how about President Whitmore?  Do you think he's Democrat or Republican?  ...Who cares, after his "today we celebrate our Independence Day" speech he definitely had my vote.  I'd prolly vote for Bill Pullman for real president.

AND.  In high school my skating precision team did a routine to the Independence Day theme music.

  • Coyote Ugly was on E! last week and I definitely watched it.  I loved this movie when it first came out and I was a teenager.  Then I actually went to a Coyote Ugly bar and it was very disappointing.

I went to a whole lot of midnight showings!  I think I only dressed up once as Columbia--but one night it was really snowy, and there weren't too many people there (including the normal cast), and my friends and I did the acting up in front.  It was awesome!

I love "Down with Love" even though it isn't a good movie at all.

I tried to be more like Columbia, actually, but I wore the sluttiest outfit I had. I wore fishnets, stripper boots, a teeny tiny skirt, hot pink push up bra, and a see through shirt.

I had my BFF Jane put red lipstick on and then kiss me all over my neck and chest.

We always had the BEST time!

  • I was Columbia when we went to midnight showings. I still love it, but I don't have an appropriate outfit anymore.

My fave bad movie, besides Rocky Horror, is Cutting Edge. Toe Pick!

Zoolander is probaby one of my top 5 movies of all time and most people would consider it pretty bad. Whenever it's on TV I feel strangely compelled to watch it.

Yep.  I used to go to Hollywood to see the midnight showings, complete with props (toast, squirt guns, lighters, etc).

  • I still have a crush on Jeff Goldblum because of that damn movie! The scene where they land back on earth and walk away from the ship smoking cigars is the sexiest he's ever been. And I'd usually jump Will Smith anyday over pasty, nerdy white dude! But yeah. He's hot right there.

The Allnighter is my favorite bad movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it. You'll wish you had that time back long enough to re-load the DVD and watch it again.
  • I love the "Scary Movie" franchise. In its defense, the first one was actually pretty clever, but after that, they sucked. And I loved it. I also love "frat boy" movies, like "Old School" and "American Pie."

    Totally agree!
I also always loved watching Comando w/Arnold Schwartznager and Alyssa Milano when I was a kid. Watching it now it's absolutely awful acting, but I will still sit and watch the whole thing! I don't even like movies like that and I love that one for some reason!

I also love Clueless, though in it's defense, it really is pretty damn good. =)
