NWR- pickup line (ugh)

I woke up this morning to a text from a friend from high school.  It said "pickup line of the night: hey darlin, have you ever had 400 lbs thrusting behind you? its like disney land, everyones gotta experience it once."

I'm usually really hard to offend, so I feel like I might be having an off day because I found this ridiculously offensive.  Before I go off on my friend, any opinions on this? Am I being overly sensitive, or would you go ballistic if someone said this to you in a bar?

  • I would laugh but I am rather inappropriate. I would also respond with only if you are going to pay for the chiropractor I will need afterwards.

  • If anyone said that to me - with serious intentions - I'd swiftly introduce my foot to his balls.

  • I just don't get how you could be offended by someone saying they'd like to hump your butt? Isn't that a compliment?

  • Especially if he jokes about the 400 pounds.

I mean, unless he's legitimately trying to buttfuck you, I'd just laugh it off.

Exactly the reason why I thought I was silly for being disgusted by it.  And since I've discovered this board tends to have many intelligent voices of reason, I figured I would turn to you guys for an opinion :)

no, he wasnt joking- he is well over 400 pounds and he and our mutual friend (seriously) thought this was a great way to get girls.

  • I'm admittedly kind of uptight when it comes to pickup lines.  I mean, for six years I had a boyfriend, then I had Ben and now I'm married.  On rare occasions when I get hit on by a polite guy, it's flattering.  But I'm mostly just annoyed when a man would think saying something like this would illicit a positive response.  Saying something corny to get me to laugh is one thing, making jokes about banging me is another.  I've told guys to fuckoff before, lol.

  • Depends on who says it and how it's said. Some random creep walking up to me in a bar would get a "go fvck yourself" but a friend who was just joking around, I'd laugh.

The other day some guy yelled out at me as I was walking down the street (I bring H a drink when he's working down the street since I like the exercise). I was making my second trip and he yelled something about was I getting my exercise or just trying to check him out and then gestured me over. Yes, clearly I wanted another look at your beer gut and hairy back. No effing way am I going to talk to you.
  • Seriously though, I'd probably respond with "Sweet, since everyone should experience it, can I watch when it's your turn to get thrusted?"

Ha, AATB, I'm surprised the guy even said anything to me. I had my head down, hood up, hands in my pockets. Do I look like I want to talk to you, dude?

    Well that's just ridiculous.
  • Haha, winning.

At a bar in college, a guy from across the bar motioned to me asking if I wanted a drink.  I politely shook my head "no" and then gestured like I was the driver that night.  He motioned again, like he was insisting.  I wasn't engaged but I pointed to my ring on my ring finger like I was engaged, thinking it would shoo him away.  When it didn't, I gave him the other finger.

  • See, that's more than I would do, AATB. If a guy was motioning at me across a bar, I'd just turn around and ignore him. I'm good at the "bitch ignore" move, as my mom so affectionally calls it. I do the bitch ignore to a couple of H's friends all the time.
  • If someone texted that to me, I'll be honest I would laugh. Especially if it was a friend. I wouldn't go off on my friend or anything like that. I'd only be offended if someone said it to me as an actual pickup line in real life.
