Ideas for a Waterbury Rehearsal Dinner?

I am getting married in April and the last peice to our puzzle is arranging the Rehearsal dinner. What are some nice moderately priced restaurants? I was thinking Carmen Anthony's, but they are very expensive.

<div>Was it La Tavola? I would reccommend it too...they make their own pasta and they have a good wine selection, and I know they do private parties because I once sat in the lower-level where there was a private party next to us, probably 30-35 people. There's also Nino's Trattoria which has good food, but is attached to a Days Inn Motel which is kind of weird.....Nino's has great italian food but the decor is kind of tacky, IMHO. D'Amelios is another good italian place, as is Diorios (Waterbury has some good italian, if you couldn't tell!) I've also been to Brass City Bistro but didn't love it as much as the others....it is a very cute place  but the food wasn't as good as the other restaurants I mentioned. GL!</div>

  • La Tavola is the ONLY place I would personally consider in Waterbury, it blows any other "Italian" place out of the water. We moved to Waterbury a year ago and its just fabulous plus they have a really nice private room that you can use. Carmen Anthony's does also have a private room which is nice, you may have a more diverse menu there but La Tavola food is amazing!

Personally I want the quality of my rehearsal dinner to help set the tone for our wedding, I would hate to know that your going to a so so place and not have it start off your wedding on the right foot.

Some peole also like "the Hills" its a golf course in Waterbury, they also have a smaller private areas, we been there three times (only because we had a GC) the food was great, service sucked all three times, wouldn't go back. Service mainly sucked because they are so under staffed that it got really ridiculous how long you would be waiting for food.
