Alternatives for bridesmaid bouquets?

I would like to use flowers for my bridesmaids, but the price and stress of how the flowers will look worry me. I would love to come up with an alternative. Any ideas?

Re: Alternatives for bridesmaid bouquets?

  • If you are a little unique and a little non-traditional. There are some really cute pinwheel bouquets. You can look them up on etsy. They are a little pricey on there, but if you are crafty, or someone you know is, yo could probably do them cheaply. If you really wanted to do the flower thing. You could have them do a single flower, if it went with your color scheme or theme, sunflowers are large and wouldn't look like just carrying one small flower. If your wedding is in season with Hydrangeas chances are you know several people with the bushes. Since they come in little round balls they are very easy to place together yourself, you could always bum a few bunches of them off of people you know.

I think ifyou really look around or really talk to different florests you'll be able to find what you want within a price you are looking for. You won't be the first bride they've dealt with on a budget, they do this for a living and I'm sure have had beautiful ones for budgets. That is really the key to anything, just ask. Maybe instead of going in with all of these ideas just say "can you show me some bouquets you've done before in this price range." Then go from there on making it your own.  Good luck!
  • feather bouquets are also pretty cool. Search on Etsy for some alternatives as well, some of those people have some great creative ideas that I think look great.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
