Linens...ugh!

I looked in the vendor sticky before posting this, but the ones I found weren't that helpful. I have no clue what to do about linens. Everything I seem to find is too expensive for our tiny budget. I considered making my own (been sewing for years), but I'm not having any luck finding fabric that's wide enough (and I don't want a big seam running through the middle of the table...plus it would probably be a giant PITA). Our venue provides 60" tables, but not linens. I would like 120" linens so that they touch the floor, but I realize I may have to compromise on that. Would it look funny if the linens were not floor length? Does anyone have suggestions on how to rent/make linens that won't cost me hundreds of dollars?

    Regarding making your own: 
    -There are stores on Harry Hines that sell wide material.  I can't remember pricing, but it's pretty cheap if you buy the whole bolt, maybe $1.50-2/yard?  If you want, I can ask my mom where she went and get you that information.  There are a couple of different shops with the same owner that have different types of material in each shop... and they were nice and helpful.
    -Some of the tablecloths that we rented had seams down the middle.  Not very many of them, but a few.  And some had seams in weird places, like 1/4 of the way from the edge.  When they were on the tables, you couldn't tell at all - they looked the same as the ones that had the fold lines down the middle!

    Other options:
    -A lot of places online are cheaper than buying.  I bought chair covers (which are for sale, btw) from CVLinens.com, and they also have tablecloths.
    -I have seen tablecloths that are about lap-length - to me it's a little awkward, and a lot less formal.

    When I was thinking I would need to rent linens and such, I found this site:

    They had great prices and it looked to be good quality. I didn't end up using them so I don't know what their customer service is, but it's worth a shot!

    In reading a previous post, you could make them...depending on the fabric you use and of course the width of it. Instead of sewing two halves down the middle, add the extra length all the way around the bottom...and you could use multiple colors to coordinate with your wedding colors.

    I'm planning to buy mine off of efavormart.com. They have 120" round linens from $10-$15 depending on the color & quantity that you want. I was quoted around $13 each to rent, so I figured I could buy them & try to sell them afterwards and recoup at least a little of that cost.

    Actually, I wanted to get pintuck tablecloths and those are waaay more to rent. I chose efavormart over CV linens because CV doesn't offer full length pintuck linens, but their regular table cloth prices are pretty good.
