Question for those of you changing or have changed your last name

Ok.. this is a pretty minor detail, but I am wondering what I should do..

My work email is tlastname@company.com.... should I change it to
tHislastname@company.com after the wedding and have emails forwarded from my old one, or just keep it? I am really one of the first people to get married in this company while they are working here, so I don't have anyone else to really ask. I've been here for almost 3 years now, so many people have this email address.

What is everyone else doing?
TIA!

This is a tough one... If it were me, I think I'd just keep my old email... but if you can forward your old email with no problem then I'd say maybe go for it? Sorry I'm not much of a help. I think I'm going to keep my old email though just to lessen the confusion.

i started a new job 2 weeks before the wedding. they changed my name everywhere a few days before the wedding...which was really weird for me. but all of my emails still came to me, so it didn't make a difference to me and wasn't a big deal at all. it actually helped me get used to my new last name. it was weird to see my new name on my phone set, but it worked out just fine. no snags.

Our IT people changed my name without any problem.  Had my old email address forwarded to my new email address.  Not a big issue that I can remember.  I

I just talked to my work about this.  I've had mine be heather.mylastname@acps.md.k12.us for 8 years.  Because I'm changing my name on everything mye-mail will now be heather.hislastname@acps.md.k12.us.  HOWEVER, the tech guy at my school said my account with my maiden name can be forwarded to my married name account for the next year, so if people forget and e=mail my old account I'll still get them this year.  You maywant to check and see if you tech person at your company can do this for you.  I also sent out a mass e-mail stating that my e-mail has changed.

I'm late here, but when I changed my name at work, IT just automatically changed my email address. They sent out a mass email, but some people still ignored it and sent it to my old name. The old email was supposed to be forwarded to the new one, but I don't think it ever was. I was checking both for a while, but stopped eventually. Even up to just a few months ago, my boss was forwarding emails that were sent to my old last name. It was PITA, but I think everyone has finally caught on!

I know a girl here just changed her last name.  She sent out a mass e-mail but also made her signature state the change so any e-mails she sent out after that had the "warning" at the bottom!
