XP: Wedding Hotel Room

I am booking a hotel room for me and my BM to get in ready in the day of the wedding.  I will be staying in the room the night before and I have invited my BM's to stay the night with me the night before.  I am not requiring them to stay the night, but they can if they would like.
How do I politely let them know that I just want them there in the hotel room with me (the night before if they want to stay and the day of while we're getting ready)...and I would appreciate it if they didn't bring along their kids (a couple of them have very young children/babies) or SO's.  I don't want to offend them but I'm afraid if I don't say something, they might think it's ok to bring them along and then it makes it awkward... Honestly, I just want to take that time before the wedding to just relax and enjoy the moments before the craziness of the day sets in.  I don't want babies crying or running around the room and I don't want 20 people just standing there watching us get ready.  I feel like it would get too hectic and it would stress me out.  Your advice is appreciated.  Thanks!

Re: XP: Wedding Hotel Room

  • Just say that you would like them to stay in the hotel room with you for some girl time the night before the wedding. Let them know they aren't under any obligation. Keep on the girls night thing though. I would think that they would ask about bringing anyone else.

  • ya I would definitely go with the girls night theme.  Maybe say something like you want to spend one last night just with the girls before your big day or you want to have some quality girls time before the big day.. something to that sort

  • I also say you want a girl's night with just you and your bridal party before the big day.   I would hope that they would get that you wouldn't want to have to hang out with little kids the night before your wedding.
