Thursday!

Hello, everyone!!

Happy Thursday! I'm super excited because we're nine days out and because in less than 24 hours I will be ON VACATION!!!!!!!!!

Before then I have to go into work at 4 a.m. to meet with night shift on our new ward, but hey, it'll be worth it.

Hope everyone's having a great week. The weekend is just about here!

You are sure getting close. I am sure you are ready to be married. Yay for both of you.

I am pretty bummed and down b/c H did not get the job we were praying for. But glad tomorrow is Friday and we are going to see my friend and their baby tomorrow evening.

Aw, Missy Sue, I'm so sorry! That is too bad...we will have to pray that this is one of those closed doors with an open window right behind.

    <hugs>

Thanks ladies. I really hate to be a thread jacker, but honestly the whole H not having a job is starting to take a toll on our marriage. When I get home from work, he barely talks. He is either reading or playing on the computer. Then he stays up late at night so its not like we even go to bed together to cuddle or anything. I told my Grandma the other day that I just wanted to run away and never be found. Things can only get so bad before they get better, right?

And today (Fri) is the death anniversary of my Grandpa. But at least tonight I get to go hold and play with my friends's new baby.

*hugs* and prayers, Missy. I totally understand how the employment situation takes a toll. I had a hard time finding a job last year, and it really affected our relationship as well. In the end, I think we're a lot stronger for having gotten through it. PM me if you want to talk more (though it will be this afternoon before I can get back to you).

Linda, *hugs* and prayers to you, too. You'll be in vacation mode by the time you get to this, but I know we're all happy and excited for you! :)

Prayers for you and your H, Missy.  I know how frustrating that can be.

So sorry that job didn't work out, Missy!  I think that would take a toll on any marriage, and you seem to be handling it pretty well.  Have you talked to him about how it bothers you that you don't go to bed together, etc?  I'm sure you'll make it through and be better for it!

Yay Linda!!!!!  So excited for you!!

I am sorry Missy!  You and your H are in my prayers!  And I know this is so cliche but the Lord never gives us more than we can handle.  Hang in there, things WILL get better I promise!

I truly believe that as well. But I can't handle much more, so that is why I know something has to happen soon.

Thanks for all of the prayers ladies!

    Hey Missy!

I can complete relate.  My H has been unemployed for a year now.  It is very difficult to relate to other newlyweds because of this.

In the end, our relationship is that much stronger because of this challenge we were given.  It is easier to see now (post wedding planning and paying for while he was unemployed) but I see it as a blessing because of the solidarity and strength it gave our relationship.  We still have our bumps because of it and it really holds us back from moving forward and doing things that involve serious financial commitments.

    Sending you prayers and strength.
