Is everyone going to be okay with being censored for things like vulgarity? Here are the rules, by the way. IMO it's getting close to harassment since this is only getting worse and not better - WDYT.
The Knot Community, including message boards, wedding web pages, blogs, photo galleries, and bios, have been created to provide a forum for Knot members to share their wedding-related experiences, ideas, and questions with one another. We encourage expression and discussion. However, in order to keep balance and order within the Community, online behavior requires common sense and basic etiquette. Accordingly, here are some rules that you agree to follow:
- No strong, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise harmful language.
- No racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable language.
- No posting of pornographic or obscene images.
- No harassing, intimidating, stalking, or threatening other
- community members.
- No libelous, defamatory, or otherwise tortious language.
- No online vandalism. This includes using abusive language and repeatedly hitting the return key in the chat room, or otherwise acting in a manner that negatively impacts the ability of others to engage in real time exchanges.
- No impersonating any person, including, but not limited to, other community members or employees of The Knot.
- No posting, distributing, transmitting, or promoting illegal content.
- No invasion of another's privacy.
- No actions that are harmful to minors.
- No manipulation or forging of identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any information posted on The Knot site or otherwise provided to The Knot or its employees.
- No posting, providing, transmitting, or otherwise making available any information (such as inside, proprietary or confidential information) that you do not have a right to make available due to contract, fiduciary duty, or operation of law.
- No posting, providing, transmitting, or otherwise making available any junk mail or spam.
- No posting, uploading, emailing, or otherwise transmitting any material that contains any malicious computer code (including spyware, worms, Trojan horses, viruses, etc.).
- No posting, providing, transmitting, or otherwise making available any information which violates regulations promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, or that of any securities exchange, such as the New York Stock Exchange.
- No collecting, storing, or posting of personal data about or of other community members.
- No soliciting of any kind on the message boards or in the chat room -- it is neither allowed nor appreciated by the community. If you are interested in advertising opportunities, please contact salesinfo@theknot.com
- Wedding professionals involved in a wedding-related enterprise cannot post any information on The Knot message boards, even if offering services free of charge.
- All posts and photos are subject to removal at The Knot's sole discretion. If you come across a post that you think is questionable, please let us know in writing -- send an email that includes the URL of the post to messageboards@theknot.com

Re: So if we go by "the rules"
Love is all one needs for love.
Yeah, that was vulgar and not in any way a joke.
And, by the way, that isn't my own judgement call. That comes from the knot moderators directly.
Love is all one needs for love.
In any case, I have to check with the knot moderators before making any decisions to ban. I'm not going to violate anyone's freedom of speech or anything, but if people are truly offended then I do have thr right to throw down the ban hammer.
And if I DO have to ban someone for hanging out on a message board just to attack people for no apparent reason other than "because you can", then that is what I will do. And you can email the message board gods to complain about it if you don't like it.
Love is all one needs for love.
Let's try it. Go somewhere else. See if I follow.
I do hope you realize that it was a joke.
If you thought I was sexual harassing you in anyway, I truly am sorry.
Miss high and mighty ladybug, what about when peekaboo threatened to have her brother from the military shoot me? How is that not ban worthy? Why is that assumed to just be a joke?

<div>1. I never EVER threatened anyone. I simply stated that I would remind my brother where to point the big guns. That wasn't directed at ANYONE in particular.</div><div>
</div><div>2. The train of thought was that if paper engineers don't exist, engineers don't exist, and therefore it was a moot point ANYWAYS because his job didn't exist.</div><div>
</div><div>3. My brother isn't in the military. Which is completely irrelevant.</div>

How would I have thought it was a joke? You dropped on the board and attacked everyone. You called me names, attacked my current and former professions, failed to apologize and admit you were wrong, and called my husband names.
If you spent any time on the board you'd see that the people here can have different opinions and still get along. We just discuss and either agree on the topic or agree to disagree on it.
