Any photographer recommendations for a Scranton wedding?

I used Kate Rupertus with Single Exposure photography (West Chester, PA) and they were great although a little pricey depending on your budget. They did a few friends weddings also and there wasn't a bad picture in the bunch.

If you are looking for someone a little less expensive, check out Melanie Rose photography she is a good friend of mine and an AMAZING photographer. She lives in NYC area but does a lot of traveling. Even with her travel fee her packages are super reasonable for what you get, which is incredible. Tell her Erin sent you.

we really liked a husband/wife team: josh and amber. we ended up not going with them, but they were in our final 2. they are north of lehigh valley, although i am not sure how far from scranton. but they were willing to travel to us for no extra fee and our wedding is about 35 minutes from allentown. here's the link to check them out.

If you are looking for more of a photojournalistic look for your pictures, check out Daniel Lanton with Darker Shades of Brown. http://darkershadesofbrown.com/ I am actually having my e-pics done with him this weekend, and he is shooting my wedding in October. Though I haven't had much interaction with him yet, he has been very prompt in getting back to me. We also met when I booked him - Daniel and wife are sweethearts and makde me feel very comfortable. His style is not for everyone, so if you like it, I'd try to contact him quickly - I know he is pretty hard to book!

Gina, did you use Lauren Brimhall. I really like her work, but have not met anyone that has used her to check references.

Yes I have! I used her for my e-pics and also my bridal pictures. She is doing my wedding this weekend too! She is soooo amazing to work with! She is so creative and gets down and dirty to get amazing shots. I have plenty of pics if you would like to see them just shoot me your email!

we are using Josh Finsel and Amber Breiner Photography (posted by Benmel31). We just had our engagement shots taken by them and they'll be doing our wedding in Stroudburg. We had such a great time with them at our engagement session and they are sooo nice and easy to work with so far! We're really excited to work with them at our wedding.

I completely recommend Gary Day, his website is www.aiweddingphotography.com.I can't recommend him enough, he and his wife did a beautiful job for our wedding. Some of his pics are in my bio under 'how it all turned out'. If you want to see my pics online, I can send you my maiden name so you can access them through his site.

He was very easy to work with, and the pics online really don't do his work justice. We just received our coffee table album, and it's gorgeous. I can't wait for the mounted album!

My wedding was in Scranton in Spring 2010. We did not have such a great photographer experience unfortunately, as the photographers actually lost all of the photos that were taken of me and the bridal party before the wedding. We had hired Jeff and Dana Gillern for our wedding photos, and while they were affordable and the pictures that we do have are nice, I am afraid I cannot recommend their services because it is definitely not worth the risk that the photos from your special day will be lost. We were told that the memory stick (with all of these very important photos of me in my dress, my mom helping me get ready, all the pictures of me with my bridesmaids, etc) were simply lost. We have had great difficulty getting in touch with them since we told them that we noticed these pictures are missing. We actually had to be the ones to ask where the pictures were; we were not informed by them about this blunder, nor have we received any type of compensation to date.. I apologize that I do not have a recommendation, just wanted to let any future Scranton brides know about this experience.

www.kimmccallphoto.com.....REALLY good. Artistic, has a different flair. Not your typical wedding poses. Really cute ideas. Has one assistant to do groomsmen as well. Decent priced as well!
