Renting a dress - savvy or disaster?

Has anyone ever rented their dress? I'm trying to keep my dress budget low, as I plan to change into a saree for the reception. Thoughts on whether I'll find anything worth renting and where?

    I didn't (I'm sewing mine) but I think it's a great option to explore.

    I have rented a bridesmaid dress before and it worked out just fine. I think it is a great Idea to rent your wedding dress. That way you get to where the dress of your dreams with out spending the crazy price for it. So I say go for it.
