Gift to Groom from Bride

I am struggling to come up with gift ideas  my husband to be from me on our wedding day.  The only consolitation is he told me yesterday is he is having a difficult time coming up with mine as well.  Any suggestions anyone?  We are paying for the wedding ourselves so it would not need to be overly expensive, but I would like for him to have something he can keep forever.  TIA!

    Maybe a nice watch?  Bottle of Scotch?   Handkerchief embroidered with his initials?   Handwritten letter on nice stationery telling him how much you love him?

    We set a 10 dollar challenge on ours. I found him a comic that he loves with the main characters getting married. He went to a bead place and made me a bracelet to wear on our wedding day.

    Ok now I can see.  I got a pocket watch here TK for $30 (I think).  I ended up saving that for his birthday present (his birthday was during our HM).  I ended up getting him a cinnabon and a love letter.

    FI and I aren't buying gifts, but rather writing a letter to each other. We're on a tight budget and we're getting married right before Christmas....

    I'm not sure if FI and I are getting gifts for eachother.  I considered getting him a studd/cuflink set for his tux (I already got him a watch).

    I'll be happy as long as we exchange cards/notes.  I don't feel the need to exchange gifts for the wedding.  Plus, FI's birthday is exactly one month later.

    We just exchanged cards with nice letters inside of them because we wanted to save our money for the HM instead. Neither of us really had anything we wanted, and it meant a lot to read his note to me on our wedding day. You don't HAVE to do gifts if neither of you wants anything in particular. Or perhaps put the money you would have spent toward a short weekend trip in the future or something.
