My husband and I got married back in December after making a very drastic decision to bump our wedding up by ten months, and giving ourselves five weeks to plan. Yes, it was our decision. Yes, we brought it on ourselves. No, we don't regret being married...not in the slightest. Getting married earlier was the best decision we could have made relationally and financially. However, now when we attend other weddings or we sit and watch wedding shows on TV or we see pictures on Facebook of high school friends' weddings....we feel a tinge of guilt. Because our wedding day wasn't our dream day. Several very important people couldn't attend, we couldn't have out full bridal party, and we couldn't have a reception. We are planning on having a vow renewal for our 5 year anniversary, and we'll go all out for that. But sometimes it's just really hard to wait that long, and 5 years feels like it's forever away. I'm not trying to complain, I'm more so just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or has any sort of advice for us.....
*Jesus came to us, so we could go to Him.*
