Hair Extensions?

I really want to wear my hair down (half up) for my wedding.  I've been growing my hair out for a year, and I REALLY do not want to wear it up.  However, my hair does not hold a curl well AT ALL.  Plus I am in the wonderful state of Alabama...which means humidity!  I would like to try some wavy/loose curly hair extensions.  Have anyone used any?  If so, what kind did you use and where did you get them?  Did you buy them curly or straight and then curl them?  TIA!

  • I am getting them..but haven't yet.  Next month she will put them in.  And I want them for the same reasons as you!!

  • Oh!!  I read your post and said to myself "She sounds just like me!!!"  This was exactly me before my wedding!  I live in humid Georgia and my hair will not hold curl and I refused to wear my hair up (I hate the way i look with it up).

Yes, I used extensions and it was the best idea ever!  I bought the clip-in kind from Sally's Beauty Supply.  A big piece of advice-make sure you buy REAL hair, not that Jessica Simpson synthetic stuff.  The real hair can be dyed to match your hair color and holds curl a lot better (I don't even know if you can heat up the synthetic stuff)!

When you go to Sally's just tell them you want clip in hair extensions, and you want the ones that will last for several uses.  They have some really nicely priced extensions but you can only use them one time.  These that I bought I used in my hair trial, for the wedding, and even a few times afterwards when I want to look real good for date night or whatever.

The curl held like a charm and they were really easy for my hair stylist to out in.  Money well spent for sure!!
  • I have the exact same problem and I got REAL hair extensions, my curls held all day and all night! Make sure you get real hair extensions.

  • If you cheap out and buy the synthetic ones you can't dye or curl them they will melt.
  • DO NOT BUY synthetic extensions, whatever you do!!

Buy real hair REMI extensions, they can cost a few hundred dollars.
I found mine on eBay for less than $45 and they were perfect!
