If you are looking for something to do tonight, tune in to Randy to the Rescue on TLC at 10/9c. I was one of the featured brides in this Minneapolis episode (I'm Erika). I'm super nervous about how we will be portrayed on tv, but it will be exciting to see. Afterwards, let me know what you think of my dress choice!

I was fine with having FI see the show (and the dress), but now he says he isn't going to watch. We aren't super traditional, so it wasn't a big deal to me. Plus, he'll probably forget what it looks like by next year anyway! We'll see what he decides.

Hi! I was over here looking to see the advice and if there was anything else and saw this. I'm obsessed with this show and the fact you're on it is AWESOME!

But first let me say: I LOVE YOUR DRESS!!!! And you looked AMAZING!!!! The back is so hot! Love the keyhole look! Awesome!

Did Randy really do that sketch for you?

How cool was it to have your make up done up and everything put together like that for you so far from the wedding?

How did they pick you (not that I'm nto sure you're not awesome, I mean you're a July bride, you have to be) but out of all the ladies what's the process?

Wow! I LOVE the dress you chose. It truly looks like it was made for you and definitely flatters your figure. How special to have the sketch from Randy too. . . You should totally have it framed after the wedding. I'm so happy for you! And ditto PP, your son is adorable!

I am glad that u had someone there to help you through ur moment of sad tears.. But.. when u found ur dress.. those happy tears were sooo wonderful... when you came out all done up....GORGEOUS!!!!! s.n. the only thing i was disappointed by was...we never heard your future step daughter say anything :0 i wanted to see what she thought extra s.n. were almost wedding twins... Did Randy really do that sketch for you? Yes, the one they gave me during taping was fake and I assumed it was just something for the show, but about a month ago, I got the blueprint in the mail from Randy.

How cool was it to have your make up done up and everything put together like that for you so far from the wedding? Having them do my hair/makeup was awesome. I'm not used to wearing that much makeup but it made me realize that for pictures on my wedding day, I have to wear more than I'm used to. I also gave me the opportunity to see that I need to wear my hair up with the neckline on the dress.

How did they pick you (not that I'm nto sure you're not awesome, I mean you're a July bride, you have to be) but out of all the ladies what's the process? I applied in early March after seeing an ad posted on the Minneapolis board saying they were looking for brides. We went through a month-long "audition" process that included lots of interviews, pictures, videos, etc and they picked 4 of us out of that process. They taped all 4 of us, then decided which 3 to actually show on the air. I kept thinking to myself, "why are they picking me, I'm not that interesting". But I think in the end, I was different than the majority of their brides because I am older (39), I have a child and my to-be teenage stepdaughter was going to be involved in the process.

After seeing the episode, I was very happy with how it was edited but like a pp, I really wish they would have shown my future stepdaughter more. For example, my favorite part of the whole experience was her reaction when I came out on the stage. Randy asked what she thought and she paused for a long time before saying "I'm speechless, she's so pretty." That was very special to me.

I'm sad I missed it! I don't have cable and FI and I were out last night. I thought about applying for that. I heard about it when my sister, mom, and I went to the Minneapolis wedding fair. But decided not to b/c my grandma wouldn't have been able to come. Do you know if the episode will show on Hulu or something? I'd love to see it!
