tipping - dance lessons?

Hey guys,
We have our final Dance lesson this evening, we took 12 lessons and paid around $1000.00 Do you think we should tip our instructor? I have no idea if its expected, not expected, or optional? What would you guys do?

    I don't think I would tip the instructor.  I think $1k for dance lessons is pretty expensive, so I wouldn't be adding any more.

    May I ask you....What do you plan to tip Donna?  (or the other coordinators) at the Shattuck?

    Not sure when you'll be 'signing off' since the wedding is this Saturday, but in case I don't get to tell you later...I will be thinking of you and your wedding and hoping that everything goes PERFECT!  Can't wait to hear all about it and see your pics---PLEASE post some.

    Ugh, Tipping Donna has been such a hard decision...

    I was thinking $150? or $200? What do you think you will plan to do?

    I was thinking much much less.....like maybe $25 for Donna, plus another $25 for the person who ends up being our 'day of' coordinator...then $25 for each of the bartenders at the Shattuck.....am I being too cheap?  (It seems that gratuities were included in the contract, so I just wanted to do a little something extra for them).  Since we did most of our own planning and booking of vendors---she didn't do all that much for us really.

    I am also tipping drivers(18%), lighting tech, DJ, officiant, musician, shuttle drivers, limo dirvers, (not planning to tip the cake baker or florists), and waiting to tip photographer/videographer once we see how the photos/video turned out.  I 'may' tip the floral delivery people if it's not the owner of the florist who brings them.
