What's something you wish you could have back or find again?
When I was 7, we went to the circus and the clowns pulled kids out of the audience, took them backstage and put clown make up and big fluffy clown shirts on us and let us ride an elephant in part of the show. After the show, my dad bought me a tightly-stuffed corduroy elephant with a beaded saddle and moving joints, and it was and will be my favorite gift from him, ever.
I have no clue what happened to it, but I'd give most anything to have it back. It's too late to call my mom to see if she tucked it away somewhere.
So, what's your corduroy elephant?

[QUOTE]when I was little - I don't even remember how old - I was obsessed with My Little Pony. I had 10 of them, which was more than any of the other girls I knew. Anywho, I remember getting a big stuffed pink one with cotton candy on her butt. I think my mom sold her in a yard sale, but I looked everywhere for her. The last time I was around when my mom had a yard sale, I looked for it in the bags of keepsake stuffies she's kept for us. She is gone, gone, gone. And if I can have that one back, I'll have my tiny purple one, too.

omg I was obsessed! One day my older neighbor lady gave me a my little pony house with probably 15 my little ponies in it! I also had a mini one that was awesome. They don't make them like the used to.
I had an answer for this, but I lost it.
There was a mug that had a picture of me and my first real boyfriend on it. In his handwriting, he wrote, Happy Valentine's Day. It was sweet. It broke in a move. I threw away the pieces. I should have tried to piece it back together. That was 15 years ago.
I'm really sentimental. About almost everything. I could go on.
I also was given a seed pearl ring that belonged to my great grandmother. I had just gotten it resized, and was wearing it to show it off (to the pool - smart). I took it off to go swimming, asking a friend to keep an eye on it (we sat with the lifeguard and it was his table). The ring disappeared.
I'd give anything to have both back. I'd also give most anything to have Maggie back, healthy and young again.
Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
I also had one of those Snuggle bears but my mom washed it and it lost its softness, I was so mad at her (I was like 5).
My high school boyfriend bought me gorgeous diamond earrings and I lost one. Even though we obviously aren't together anymore I'd still like to have them for old time's sake.
I also want my thick, curly hair back. I hated it in 7th grade and had my hair chemically relaxed a few times. The curl never came back, and now my hair is limp and sad.
Planning
Married (work in progress)
I did so, and the cleaner said she'd find a cage. That afternoon, I went to go and pick it up, and she told me that the owners of the bird had come to the school and collected it. Even as a 9 year old, I knew that was very unlikely.
It later turned out that this same cleaner was stealing grade 1 kid's artwork and selling it at the local markets. I always wondered what she did with the bird, and used to creep by her house (she lived in our suburb) and listen for it. I was so bummed that I didn't get to keep the gallah, and I knew this woman was lying, but my mother didn't want to rock the boat at the school by confronting her about where the bird had really gone.
[QUOTE]I had a pair of plastic teeth on tongs I found at a garage sale once for 1$, named francine. Throughout my many moves I have misplaced francine. It disappoints me.

Nebb, that is fantastic! I want francine now, too!
I can't believe he's been gone for so long- it will be a year in April. I heard a Bjork song yesterday which I'd been listening to a lot around the time he was ill, and as soon as it came on the radio- before I had any idea what song it was- I said to H, 'why is it that this song has just made me feel so sad?'. As it got into the song, I realised what it was and remembered how upset I'd been when I was listening to it. Miss my little furkid, he was so sweet. He had a very fantastic and spoilt life, but 3 years just wasn't long enough.
