I don't know if anyone else is DIY'ing their invites, but I am and I've had a heck of a time getting them to look nice.
I ordered the first batch of pocketfolds when we were planning on only inviting our parents. They only came in packs of 25. Now that we're inviting more people, I had to order more. Of course, the colors are slightly different and the pocket where the inserts go are only half as wide on the new invites..... which means I have to completely redo the inserts a second time to make them fit.
And I finally figured out how to feed the 4 bar RSVP envelopes into my printer and adjust the print settings, only to have every other one come out smudged and smeared with ink.
I really wish I wasn't so cheap and would have just forked over the money to have them professionally printed.
No point here, just whining. I can't wait to be done with these stinkin invites! I may light one on fire and drink an entire bottle of wine to celebrate.

I am lucky that the program I use for my business lets me customize the size of the invites down to 1/100 of an inch, so I can just buy the envelopes and make the invites any size I want. I feel bad for people who are stuck with standard sizes and can't find envelopes to match. What a pain that has to be!!!
I finished the mock-up of the invite for the original pocketfolds last night. Now I have to go back today and redo all the inserts to fit the new pocketfolds I just bought. I don't know how I'm going to fit all of the info on the smaller inserts, to be honest. Thankfully, our daughter went back to school today so I have plenty of time to work on them.

[QUOTE]I am the same as lucky with DIY invitations. There is no way I could do that, so props to you guys that are! I love the pocket folds, but they are so friggen expensive that we decided to stick with something cheaper through vista print. But the only thing I am having a hard time with is finding the outer envelope. They come with one to fit the size of the actual invitation, but I am not sure if I need to find one slightly bigger to make sur it fits inside or if the same size will work for me.

vk--we ordered from VP too and I ordered the outer envelopes with the printed return address thinking I'd use the free plain envelopes as the inner ones. The problem (that I just discovered last week) is that since they are the same size, I can't fit the plain ones into the printed ones. Not sure what size your invites are, but ours are 6x9 and after some searching on here, another knottie posted the same problem and said she measured the invite (came in slightly less than 6x9) and she used A9 envelopes (bought at Amazon) for the inner envelope and it fit easily inside the other one. We're currently debating doing this or using a belly band to hold everything together and write the names of the invitees on there.
