Hey girls, I just wanted to say thank you all for always being polite and honest. I made the mistake of posting in another forum today, and was quickly reminded why I don't do this lol. I love that this board is a place where you can have conversation and get honest opinions, but everyone seems to remember that even on the Internet we should still be polite. Lol anyway happy Monday fellow April brides, I'm home today with my sick 2 year old. Hope u all have a good day

    Lol!!!!! So glad I'm not alone, I'm getting grammar lessons: like I thought this was casual Internet chat... Didn't know I was required to bring all of my writing skills with me. Lol and apparently the use of .... is very offensive lol I like this board because it's not sugar coated, you get honest feedback but people don't feel the need to be mean Oh and for what it's worth I'm pretty sure your guys will look awesome in their black tuxes at 4pm lol.... And the world will go on... I promise

    Please don't start this again... The regs check the month boards looking for drama, as you can see from the post about a week or two ago. Also as you can see that someone commented on your other post they've already seen it. I like this board too, but I don't feel like being generalized into a group of girls that live in a puffy heart Lisa Frank folder again.

    Ally You are right they did read it, but I didn't say anything wrong. I don't think this board is puffy at all. I just think it is a place we can come for honest objective opinions. I didnt know something happened before I must have missed that.

    I think every board is pretty fair and honest and friendly if you spend time reading up on them and getting the hang of what that board is about. You do you have to be really careful about the tone of your writing, because people can't read sarcasm, and you can't be defensive. I think the biggest pet peeve for most is asking for advice, or venting, and not liking people's responses and then getting defensive about it- kind of like, then why did you post in the first place if you don't want to hear what people have to say about it, whether you agree or not? It's tricky!  I like every board! This one is nice because people are active, so that's really cool!

    Hahaha Von ok so basically our fellow April brides would rather we don't do posts like this, because the regs regulars will come and view this board and then criticize the group as a whole for being too nice, or to soft. I don't have any issues with any of the boards either, I just think the courage people have on the Internet is so funny. Like just because your online it is ok to be rude and mean. It all feels kind of fake and a bit high schoolish at times, the "cool kids" regs picking on the newbies. This is a wedding site people should be happy and nice, or at least stressed about the pending event, not making it their mission to alienate other people. But I do have an issue with bullies, it's just my nature. With all of that said, I'm not pretending to be innocent, to address the pink elephant, yes I had an issue this morning on one of the boards, no big deal really, kind of funny. Anyway thanks girls for always being supportive, and a good place to come for all things wedding and beyond

    No I agree, and trust me they don't like me either, but if you want to exist as peacefully as possible on these boards with women who have been here for YEARS for some reason, just don't create posts like this BEGGING for their attention. PM if you want, but they'll see anything you write, and call you out, and make it a way bigger deal than it is. I've seen it happen a million times. Someone posts that a certain poster offended them, and all the others come in attack mode. Just let this board be about April brides and whatever were doing, it'll go over a lot better
