Check from the weekend :)

So I met with one florist who has a great reputation. I went in with no idea of what to look for other than I liked Calla Lillies and he came up with a beautiful bouquet! We even got to take home a small mini version of it. It would be white calla lillies 7 of them with 2 spray pinked hydrangeas and the bridesmaids would have mini versions of mine 1 hydrangea with 3 calla lillies. The groosmen would wear one calla lillie and mothers corsage. The best part everything is under budget!!!

The only problem I have now is my mini bouquet died within 2 hrs. I looked up online hydrangeas especially in summer wilt super quick. So I'm going to talk with him again and see what other options are or find a way to keep the water still connected to them. It looked sooo beautiful I don't want to give it up!!!

Hope every one had a great weekend too!!!

  • Sounds like his style is really great, but maybe he didn't have the freshest flowers in stock?  You should ask if he has another option to replace the hydrangea since they wilt in the heat.

  • Yeah I'd definitely mention that to them. Although it's kind of surprising that they didn't say something about the hydrangea potentially wilting in the heat, they're supposed to be the expert :-)

Well he did say the calla Lillie's weren't the freshest. Either way when we brought them home we put them in water right away and they still wilted quick. I'm thinking maybe they weren't the freshest either way it's a concern I want to address before I sign the contract. He honestly seemed like a good person and I don't feel like he was after money alone.

Do you have any ribbon on the stems? If you do, I'd see about keeping the water thing attached and just using ribbon to cover it.
