PSA: Charlotte Mani/Pedi Living Social Deal

The Belle Cheveux Salon and Spa in northern Charlotte is doing a mani/pedi deal for $17, valid until Dec 9th 2011. If interested, please use my referral link! I plan on using mine to visit friends, but would have loved to have this deal in my wedding city so I thought I would share!

    Little warning.  I did a Groupon for my nails for a place in Raleigh.  They did a terrible job.  Like, I could have done better and I suck at doing my nails. The polish was uneven and in some places just lumpy looking.  I ended up having to get my toenails retouched the night before the wedding.  I probably should have gotten my fingernails redone too but the errors were fairly easy to mask by my bouquet etc so I held off.  

    Long story short, make sure to read reviews of a nail place before buying one of these things.  If they don't have any online reviews, just skip it.  Nail salons come up pretty regularly as deals so next week there might be a better place available :)

    I completely agree with the quality idea, if I was going to use it for the wedding I would have to give the salon a trial fun if possible. But since I won't be in Charlotte immediately before the wedding, I am just going to use it as some summertime maintenance to keep them on track. So sorry you had horrible luck with your nails. Seems so many places are hit and miss, good one day and bad the next....makes me nervous about how my wedding experience will go.

    Yeah I really wish I had just gone to the place I regularly went to.  It would have been cheaper than the place I used (even with the Groupon!) and they usually do a good job.  Live and learn!
