Panicking!!!! Invites NEED to go out tomorrow!

I just sat down with my Mom last night to assemble the invitations. She had been wanting to help so I waited for her to be available (even though I could have done them weeks ago myself) I didn't want to take away from the fun she thought it would be to work on them together...it was fun actually so I'm glad we did them together!

Well I showed my Dad the reply card since he hadn't seen them yet and he said "wow these need to be in by March 31st?!?"

I almost fell off my chair. I thought the woman who made the invites choose a date in April and now March 31st is about 3 weeks away. I can send them out by tomorrow but I'm just feeling terrible that these rsvps need to be back in 3 weeks!

Ugh, I wish I had just assembled the invites on my own time and then I would have seen the rsvp date a lot earlier. My parents said that it would all be fine, and people would rsvp in time, and if some people wait until April its ok too, but I just feel like an idiot for not knowing the rsvp date until last night :(

    It will be okay :) Just don't be surprised if you have quite a few that are missing by your deadline. And I would give a couple weeks after your deadline before you start calling/contacting people to see if they're coming or not.

    Ditto!  Don't panic!  Just try to get them finished and out by the end of the week if possible.  People won't think anything of it!

    I'm panicking too! Our AHR isn't until June but still it's such a hassle it seems to get these puppies stamps and to the post office!

    I agree w/ PP, if you get them out soon that's still 3 weeks to reply. That's not bad at all! You might have to make a few more follow up phone calls to straglers but at least you'll have time to do it!

    Thank you all for helping me calm down a little bit. I will be getting most of them mailed out tomorrow morning, and there are about 10 that I need FI to get addresses for so that I can mail those. I'm going to have him call these people tonight for their addresses so I can get them in the mail by the end of the day tomorrow.

    Don't panic!!  It seems quick but people really don't need 3 weeks to send back a tiny piece of paper.  It takes maybe 3 minutes to look it over, write in names, and toss it in the mail.  And besides that, there will ALWAYS be people who are late doing things, so maybe the early date will spur them to move a little quicker and actually get them to you on time!  It's not like your mailbox will start spitting them back out at your mailman April 1st. :)
