Chef's World Bride...scam?

FYI: Just got a random call from a telemarketer who says me and the fiance won a prize trip and other gifts.  I googled this co. and there are some posts that its a scam or a timeshare type thing.  I'm not sure about it, but I just wanted to put the word out there for anyone else who will be getting these calls.  A free trip sounds nice, but there are so many mixed reviews about things like this, so be cautious.  If anyone else wants to share an experience with this type of thing, feel free.

Hi, I actually went to the 90 minute presentation and did not buy anything. They didn't give the $1,000 gift card like they said they w ould on the phone, instead you go on this website and order $1000 worth of coupons. They gave me a certificate for a 2 night hotel stay. I went on the website to register my certificate and I don't think it's valid! Let me know if you have another experience. Thanks.
  • I don't know if it's a scam, but waterless cookware is available for as low as $200 online.  So if you believe in the product, I would recommend looking into it online.  One-night "deadlines" are just a sales tactic. I have read on other forums that it is a huge hassle getting your vacations, with administrative fees/taxes summing to the cost of a regular vacation, but idk firsthand...
