In-Suite Brides - Alcohol Questions

If getting alcohol yourself, how much did you spend?  How much did you/are you getting?

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone ever bring a keg up to the Suite?

We will be having about 50 guests and I'm trying to gauge how much it will cost us and how it will all work.  Our guests drink a decent amount and we'll have hard alcohol, beer, champagne and wine.  Beer would probably be the most popular.

We did get a quote from MC to add a bar package to our food, but it would only be for two hours and then I think they don't leave much alcohol, and our guests will drink longer than 2 hrs for sure, so don't think this route will work, even though it'd be more convenient.

I think DH got the alcohol from a place near Mandalay Bay.  I'm not sure how much he spent but we had waaaay to much! We bought a styrofoam cooler and filled that with ice. That cost approx $3,00.  We did not hire a bartender.

Theres a liqour store across the street from Mandalay Bay, also.  You might want to call them and inquire...I'd be more tempted to do cases of beer instead of a keg, just becuase you wouldn't have to worry about returning it...

    good luck!

We did the MC bar package.  There was actually quite a bit of alcohol left over.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Lee liqour is one that I have heard of that does cheap alcohol.

Another bride filled the bath tub with ice and put the drinks in there for an insuite reception which is a good idea! They filled it up with buckets of ice from the hotel ice machine and someone else bought ice from the gas station I think?

You might want to add bin bags to your list of things to get if you are having bottled alcohol (beers etc) as there will be a lot of rubbish at the end!

I've heard that lee's liquor, terrible's and either the liquor store in the Southpointe hotel and casino and the Orleans liquor store have really good priced alcohol.  We stayed at the Southpointe in July and their liquor store (at the bottom of the escalators) was cheaper than what we can buy in alcohol!  At least for Crown, Absolute, Smirnoff and Hennessy.  Debra (One of the catering managers at the Orleans) recommended all of them.

I think my brother went to the place across from MB. The guys that worked there were so nice! My brother and friend walked over there and had no plan on how to carry so much booze back! The guy that worked there offered to drive them back to MB!

Alcohol info is my bio. I think we had liek 200 beers and 10 bottles of champagne + a handle of vodka and and handle of rum. We drank all the champagne and maybe all but 10 beers? We drank all the hard alcohol too. We had 60 guests.

I have no idea how much all of that cost though!

Lees discount liquor is always a good value. Also if you go to evite, they have an alcohol calculator that tells you how much to buy based on your guests.

for our insuite we did  1case corona 1 case heineken. 7 bottles champagne, 6 wine. 1.75ml vodka and mixers, 1 case bottle water. came to around $250 from Sam's Club. Should have similiar or better pricing down the road ( lees or disount liquor) we got ice and put it in a cooler then dumped the ice in the master bathtub and then filled it up with more ice from the machine. this amount was enough for 40 people easily, actually we did come home with 2 bottles champagne.
