Good morning ladies! We are almost through the week...woo-hoo!!!!
I am ready for this rain to stop (I think we all are). I am hoping the weather shapes up and holds out on Sunday. We are having our engagement pics done on Sunday afternoon. I think we are going to do Mellon Park and downtown around PPG Place & Gateway Center. We want to get some shots with fountains...we are even thinking about ending the session by getting wet in the fountains with our pups! Yep, puppies will be part of our session. Speaking of pups, I took them to Camp Bow Wow today for day camp. We haven't been taking them for their long walks with the icky weather and they were driving me nuts! They are like kids...lol. So, camp it is. At 4:00, I will pick up 2 exhausted dogs.

morning! It's my last day of work for 2 weeks - hooray! Tonight I'll finish packing and try not to get too much sleep so I can sleep on the plane.

Janice - I like your engagement shoot plan! Both of those areas are lovely and I cant wait to see how the session with the dogs goes! Here's hoping for nice weather.

Good morning! I'm SO ready for the rain to be done, but right now it looks sunny outside, so that's good.

Janice, those sound like great locations for pictures! I'm supposed to get my pics done this Saturday, but our photog has canceled twice because of weather, and we're starting to get aggitated.

MD - that's so exciting! I can't wait to see pics from your trip!

Morning Ladies!!
I'm down to 9 DAYS!!!!!!! I can't believe it!! I spent all night last night printing escort cards (blah)... needless to say it was not a fun experience! Then this AM FMIL called me with changes - she's moving two tables around, then switching a couple from one table to another... so I'll be printing away again tonight.

Next on the agenda is printing table names, cookie table description, and the labels for the candy buffet. I bought all the paper at Michael's a few days ago. Also, this AM I dropped off my program PDF's, and the PDF's of the donation card and menu card for printing. He did a sample for me right there and they looked great!

I'm getting the menu and donation cards on ivory cardstock, as they will be in the music pockets which are more of a creamy color and I am getting the program printed on white linen cardstock - it looks great! So after I get them back I just have to punch the holes in the top, and use the Martha Stewart 'lace' hole punch along the bottom, then tie the green ribbon in a bow on the top... I hope it turns out ok! I originally wasn't going to do the menu cards, but the guy from Sir Speedy was super nice and gave me a bit of a discount so I could do it... I'm very happy!

Other than that, I have a lot of lace to apply to the escort cards - a project for this weekend - and I'm just about ready! Oh and yesterday I ordered a whish lantern online (think Tangled) to 'set off' after our wedding!!! Just got an email that it shipped today and I'm SO excited!! I think it will make for some lovely pictures! You can check them out here (clicky).

Hello!

So yesterday the FI and I went to view some house for rent. I am officially a Craig's list stalker for a place to move to. It's getting really really frustrating. We don't have to move until July 21st, and can wait until August 1st if we need too, but I really want to find a place as both the FI and I hate not knowing where we are going to live next year. Augh. We are looking for something pretty close to downtown and that has some things around it (walkable cafes, stores, etc) but that is like looking for needle in a haystack in this city. Anything would be cheaper than we live now on the Southside, but all the good places won't let us have our kitties. Which is ridiculous to me. I can understand dogs with the potiential barking and all, but really? Cats are lazy. They tear up nothing (at least my lazy sleep all day ones don't) so I just don't get it.

Ok, enough about that. Definitely excited about the weekend but I think we decided against camping at Ohiopyle. No point in going if I can't explore and walk to the waterfalls. Stupid knee lol. Ladies, remind me to never try and run that much again.

Janice- yeay for engagement pics! I love love love the PPG fountains but Kirk won't take e pics there since he works there everyday. Boo on that. I think you should definitely get in the fountains though! I saw a really neat trash the dress pictures there at night. They were gorgeous!

Md- I think I tell you this every day, but I am beyond jealous. You will have the time of your life over there. I can't remember though- are the flights over there usually a red-eye? If its the 15 hour flight from california then I assume it is. Be sure to get rested up and take lots of pictures once you are there!

GMC- It's hard to believe you are really almost there.... Hopefully reprinting some stuff won't take too long tonight. I couldn't see the lantern you order. Not sure if the clicky worked (but I might just be doing something wrong lol)

Hi everyone!

Busy past couple of days for.. yesterday was actually my bday.. and not to be a huge drama queen.. but it was pretty crappy. lol. Dont want to go into too many details, but work SUCKED Majorly and DF made it worse by making me wait 40 minutes in the car for him before we could go home. We did end up getting dinner at cheesecake factory (YUMMO!) and I went directly to sleep when I got home. A wonderful way to enter my late 20s. Oh well!

Janice - LOVE the engagement pic ideas! Here's hoping for nice weather!! i love the fountain idea! so fun!

md - YAY for no work for 2 weeks! can't believe you are leaving for china! Can't wait to hear alll about it and see pics when u get back! fun!

mRads - i'm with ya on the rain!

g - your wedding is going to be sooo amazing with all of your DIY touches that will bring your sense of style to everything! goodluck with the last few things and the re-printing tonight!

Sarilynn - goodluck with the apt hunt. I used to be quite the craigslist stalker too! My fiance and I rented a house in shadyside for a while before we bought.. the rental company is Howard West. Maybe worth giving them a call.. they let us have our pupppy!

db- Sorry about your bday :-( If it's any consolation, my good friend's bday was yesterday too. She just moved back to our horrible hometown, her former employer forgot to deposit her last check, so she had none of her friends there with her and couldn't even go buy herself a beer :-( You were not alone in having a bad bday yesterday.

And I actually called Howard West today! I am going to see an apt with them on Monday, but I think it may be too small. But at least I could meet with Howard West people and they know that we are on the hunt for a place.
