STD questions!

So I finally got all the supplies for my STDs!  I hope to get them done in one of the next few weekends but I had a few questions....

FI and I are both living with our parents right now. My parents are paying for the reception. Does my parents name/address go on the envelope (as return address) or my name and my parents address...or what?

And for those of you who did your own STD's what did you do: Print on the envelopes with your printer or use clear mailing address labels? And if you did labels did you do these yourself?

I have two printers, one is a really nice one but I never use it because ink is so expensive....I am kinda afraid of trying the envelopes in the printer! haha

    For the return address I did my name and my parents address.  I did run it by my mother first and she said it was fine.

    As for the envelopes, I did a mail merge and ran them through the printer and I thought they came out great.  I also had extra envelopes to work with in case I screwed up!  Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

    For the STD's I used my Mom's return address for the US ones and mine for the Canadian ones. I did put names on the returns for the STDs, I didn't for the invitations.

    We did postcards so I used clear mailing labels and a mailmerge!

    We did magnets so we used clear labels for the envelopes, but be careful ours didn't dry properly and the ink smudged after 24 hours of drying, so we ended up hand addressing a lot.  We did mail merge, it's also good b/c you have the spread sheet later on for additional labels and guest list for showers etc.
