Registry advice

Bed Bath & Beyond was an amazing experience.  Someone walked us around the store answering all of our questions and offering suggestions.  THe prices tend to be a little cheaper than the deparment stores.

Macy's has a decent rewards system.  You get a gift card from Macy's after the wedding with 5% of the amount from registry purchased items and 10% of the amount of purchases you made before the wedding.

  • BBB has awesome customer service & return policy. If something breaks, just bring it back & they'll let you grab a new one from the shelf - without a receipt or original packaging. I've done this with 2 different Keurig machines at work.

Also, if you return something from your registry, they give you cash for the amount the buyer paid for it - no store credit at the current sale price business.
  • We did both of those stores, as well.

Macys--fine china, crystal stemware, casual glassware, silverware, pots and pans, appliances/electrics

BBB--kitchen gadgets, bathroom accessories, bakeware, serving/entertaining pieces

  • I love my BB&B registry.  We chose to limit our registries, so we only have BB&B and Sears, because the products are so different at the two stores (FI needs/ wants tools, a bbq grill, etc.).
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

  • Glad to hear that everyone's had such great experiences.  We had a TERRIBLE (like I refuse to set foot in the store ever again) experience with Macy's.  Fantastic experience with Bloomingdale's, though...

  •  I agree that Bloomie's is much better than Macy's -- and their sale prices are comparable!
