ENGAGED FRIDAY @ RANGERS GAME! (long w/Pics)

It still feels so surreal!!!

We have been together almost 2 years, and I knew a proposal was coming, but he managed to COMPLETELY take me by surprise!

Friday night was the First night off he had had in over 2 months. We were going to the Astros vs Rangers game (we ALWAYS go to the game when the Astros are in town, so nothing out of the ordinary), and then we were going to go visit his family for Fathers day. His nephew was 1 month old and we hand't seen him yet so this was the first opportunity we had to go. So I was in a great mood! Finally getting to spend some quality time with my man after a gruelling few months! So I was going Picture CRAZY!!!! And he just let me go and laughed about it because he knew what was coming!

7th inning came around and he wanted to take a picture by the Nolan Ryan statue. We do this at every game so again.. nothing out of the ordinary! I went to the bathroom first and came out all mad because I felt sweaty and gross and not in the mood to take a picture! We get over there and find a random person to take the picture for us. After a few attempts with my phone they came out blurry. Jon suggested she take one more. She was so nice and offered to take it on her iPhone and just text it to us. So I was standing there posing, and Jon was being all distracted and fidgety. I turned to yell at him to stand still and when I did he was on his knee with the ring! He told me I said yes, but I just remember flying at him and crying! We had friends back at our local bar waiting to celebrate with us that night, then got to spend the entire weekend with his family celebrating! It was just a special weekend, and now I get to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful man I know!!!

5th inning! Astros are winning!!

    Thank you so  much. We are talking March 2013. We are flexible with dates (ish) But my niece is in college and is going to be my maid of honor, so we would prefer for it to be around her spring break so she can be here and help before hand. We are jumping right into wedding planning!

    Thats awesome! Apparently it was a 6 month wait for a score board proposal (which I have no idea why.. no body else got enagaged that night!!!), but it was still so much fun!!

    That's true.  DH called in January for my May proposal.  You also have to make a donation to charity.
