Lutheran: Entrance Songs

Our church prohibits the use of Here Comes the Bride, and I don't really want to walk in to Canon in D, it's so expected.
What entrance songs besides these two are you using?

I used a country song - so I don't think I'm much help.  But if you want a country song - I'm a good person to ask!!

All of our songs are untraditional. I'm walking in to the Vitamin String Quartet version of All I Want is You (U2). I love Vitamin String Quartet, we're using a few of their songs!

LittleBigO, what song did you use? FI doesn't like country, so we're not using any in the ceremony, but we're going to play country during dinner. I've been trying to come up with a list of ones I want.

If you want traditional sounding, but can't use the Wagner (not surprised, some churches do prohibit it as the piece was not intended to be religious in nature), try looking up Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring, Grand March from Aida (Verdi), Rigaudon (Campra), Trumpet Voluntary (Clarke), Trumpet Tune (Purcell), and maybe even the Ode to Joy.  Great traditional sounds without being the Wagner.  :-)
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

Why the heck am I so surprised by the fact that churches blatantly ban a song as traditional as that one?

</div><div>Because to us, it's only "Here Comes the Bride"!  It's from Wagner's opera Lohengrin, which isn't a religious piece, so a lot of churches ban it.</div><div>
</div><div>OP, I think an arrangement of a hymn tune would work well if you need specifically religious music.  If you've got an organ, and want something similar to the Bridal March try "Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty," or "Open Now Thy Gates of Beauty." </div><div>
</div><div>Here are some ideas for ones that would work well with organ (you've sort of got to use your imagination to get the "this is a computer file electronic music" sound out of your head):
    </div><div>
    </div><div><a href="http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/p/t/pttlta.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/p/t/pttlta.htm</a></div><div><a href="http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/h/h/hymglory.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/h/h/hymglory.htm</a></div><div><a href="http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/o/p/opennowt.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/o/p/opennowt.htm</a></div><div>
</div><div>If you've got a piano, you could try "Be Thou My Vision," "Be Still My Soul," or "Blessed Jesus, at Your Word."</div><div>
    </div><div>Good luck!</div><div>

The way they worded it is that the song is "fine for the opera house, for which it was intended, but not for the House of God".

Thank you everyone for the suggestions!!!!!!  This is really helpful!!!!!!
