Custom Wedding Hanger

Has anyone decided to get one or make one.
Like this:

I was thinking about buying one on Etsy, butthe shipping to Canada changed my mind. I decided to make my own and it came out pretty good for my first effort. no pics yet.

Funny you post this, I was with a friend of mine the other night who is pretty craftsy and showed her the hanger on etsy and asked if she thought it was worth it to buy one for myself and she said she could make it! she found a blog online of someone who did it her self and i just got off the phone with her and she is working on them right now. she is making one for all of my BM's and i think FG's as well! they will probably cost the same amount for like 10 then for the 1 i saw on etsy. Good for you for making your own! I'm not good at that stuff at all and it amazes me when people can just boom do it!

I made mine myself. It's actually a lot easier than you'd think (and a lot cheaper than Etsy). Just make you have lots of round things of various sizes to bend the wire around.

I love these hangers! I tried to make them for my girls, but I must be doing something wrong because they look horrible

I gave up after the first two.

We made ours (FI did anyway ...). He did one for each of my girls and one for me.

I made mine and for my 3 BM's. I agree that they are easier than they look. I got great tutorials online. The only thing is the 14gauge wire would have been better but I couldn't find any. I used 16 gauge instead and just shaped it with my hands and traced the print out of their names.
I haven't taken photos yet as my dad just drilled the hangers last night for me.

What got me to finally try it is when I saw a wedding photo of a girl's dress hanging on the door with a plastic hanger. I thought I can't have that.

I purchased a hanger with "Mrs. White" spelt out in turquoise blue wire. I love it !
