August Honeymoon

Hi ladies,

If you went on your honeymoon in August, where did you go?

My FI and I are planning our honeymoon right now, I feel like we should have booked a month ago since our wedding is early August. We don't want anything super expensive, I know its cheaper to go to an all inclusive resort or a cruise in the carribean but I'm a bit worried about the weather.

Right now we might be going to Switzerland since we know someone there and we can stay at a place for cheap but it's not 100% sure yet. So I'm just looking for another option just in case this one doesn't happen.

    We went on a cruise to Alaska. It was AMAZING. Highly recommend.

    Yep - Aug 9-19 at the Sandals Royal Bahamian.

    well we're getting married the end of august and we're going to do mini honeymoon right after the wedding. probably rent a cottage for a few days or go to sauble beach and stay in a b and b. then in a couple of weeks we'll be going to europe for a week. we're thinking italy.

    Yeah I feel like we are all over the place with this honeymoon. We had 2 prospective places to go then that doesn't seem to be working out.  It's taking a lot longer to plan than I had expected so I feel like we should have had something booked by now..

    I would rather go to a medditerrenean cruise but my fiance wants to go cheaper and go to the Caribbean but considering that the weather might not be that great, I'm less inclined to go there. I did checked in with a travel agent about this and she did say that in the Caribbean there is a chance that it might rain and you just never know. She advised to get travel insurance just in case.

    We're going on a mediterranean cruise in August through Holland America!  I'm very excited about it, so if you decide to go that route, let me know!!! :)

    We just got back from this resort and it was absolutely fabulous!!! (not a honeymoon, just a little get away since our honeymoon won't be until next January!) I would highly recommend it!

    Yes it is, it is in Nassau, Bahamas on Cable Beach.

    You can find good deals/package vacations through Sunquest and Thomas Cook!

    I have never been to Aruba but heard it's beautiful!!

    Lots of great ideas for an August honeymoon! I like the idea of visiting somewhere out of the norm like Alaska or Japan. If you want to do something more cost efficient, I would saya cruise or an AI resort. Happy Planning!
