Wedding Planners?

Just wanted to take a poll and see who out there is using a wedding planner, and who are doing their own fabulous planning???

If you are using one, how much do they generally charge?

I found this lady on Craigs list that is super cheap, and so on top of things.  She's just starting out but I'm excited.

So yes, let me know your thoughts!

I have 2 DOCs, and their fee was $500.  I've done all the "heavy" work beforehand, but they will handle all the execution on the day of.

I said Much Needed and Booked.....but I am just having a DOC, not full on planner.

But, I personally think it is totally essential!!! All of the past Knotties on here always talk about how much they loved having their DOC and the ones that didn't get a DOC talk about how much they regret not getting a DOC.

Also, my DOC has been totally fantastic and has helped with so many ideas and so many vendor recommendations already which has been soooo helpful!

Highly recommend at least a DOC!

........I think my DOC is $350 if you are interested.

I have a doc. She still has days open in July if someone is looking. I can't say enough good things about her!

A friend was going to be my DOC free of charge, but her husband just booked them on a cruise the week of my wedding! Needless to say, I'm searching for a DOC for  October, so if anyone has recommendations and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd be grateful! :-)

My mom is insisting on being the DOC.  I don't want her to be able to enjoy it, but she's adamant about it, so we'll see how it goes. At least she'll know exactly what I want :)

So most people are getting at least a D.O.C. totally makes sense! I found this lady Tamara Nicole via Craig's List.  She's just starting out, but has planned 4-5 weddings already and totally knows what she is talking about, and is super energetic and sooo helpful. And the cool thing is she is crazy cheap, just trying to gain experience.

Her business is Simply by Tamara Nicole and she has a website (although it's still being made I think) www.simplytamaranicole.com.

I got a killer deal, but it's worth it and I can't wait!

Thanks for all of the feedback ladies:-)
