any one ever hear of someone holding their ceremony on the top of Mauna Kea in the snow? I saw a piture of one but not sure how to go about it or where to get permits for it please help. thanks in advance

I'd think you'd just need to get a permit from the state to do it and find someone who'd marry you up there.

I don't think you would be able to count on snow. Snow on Mauna Kea only really happens after a big storm or during certain parts of the year. Also, they won't let you up there during a snowstorm, only after, and it is hard to say when/if they'd open the road to the summit. It's also considered a pretty sacred place, so not sure if people would be too happy about weddings being held up there.

The summit has all those telescopes up there too - I thought you needed to be on a supervised tour to go up there as well... (or be one of the scientists who lives up there and works with the telescopes).
