ATTN brides with photobooths

Where are you having yours setup?

I can't decide if it's better off in the cocktail hour room, or inside the reception room.  The rooms are right next to each other.

  • we are having ours in the corner of our reception ballroom. We aren't starting the photo booth until after all the "events" (special dances, cake cutting, toasts) have taken place. Our photo booth will open shortly after the floor opens for just dancing. Our coordinator said that people would be more apt to take advantage of the photo booth if they could see it in the ballroom, rather than putting it somewhere else. 
  • Ours is a DIY photo booth so we're putting it in one of the barn stalls so that it's enclosed. Butterfly has a good point that more people will take advantage of it if they can see it. Out of sight out of mind.

  • we are having ours in the reception room.  If you do it in the cocktail hour room people may forget it is there during the reception.  We have it right across from 1 of the bars in our room but our room is huge so it still won't be in the way.

    agree with this.  ours is open from 8-12 so right after cocktail hour is over.

  • We are putting it off the entranceway in a separate room.  We have the whole place to ourselves and we don't have room really in the reception room without it being ontop of tables. 

    Anniversary
  • Ours will be in the corner of our ballroom too, open from 8:30pm-11:30pm.

    I wasn't sure if having it in the reception room was too... distracting?  We have a huge space for it since we're using way less table than the room can hold.  It'll be by the bar so hopefully people will be able to get drinks and pictures in the same trip haha.
